Happy April 1st!

In France April Fools’ Day is called “Poisson d’Avril” (April Fish).

The city of Nice has its unique April Fool’s jokes. E. g. there is a cannon shot every day at precisely 12h00,  near the Château de Nice – not far from our Lunautica office in the port. This noonday boom alerts the ‘Nicois’ that it’s time for lunch. Except on April 1st when the “shot” goes off an hour earlier, later or not at all and everyone is thrown off schedule.

So, listen carefully if you are in Nice on April 1st – maybe you will hear a shout from the hilltop after the cannon – “Poisson d’Avril!”
